Cramer's Lightning Round - Buy Lions Gate Ahead Of Hunger Games (3/16/12)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Friday March 16.

Bullish Calls:

Lions Gate Entertainment (LGF): " controversial...Hunger Games opens next week. The stock has stalled at around $13. People feel it is already played out. If you can get it for $12, you could make a couple of quick bucks."

Whole Food (NASDAQ:WFM): "I want to see you in Whole Foods. I want growth."

Vector (NYSE:VGR), Philip Morris (NYSE:PM), Altria (NYSE:MO): "Vector has a good yield, but I'm a best of breed guy when it comes to tobacco. Altria has a great yield. I'm going to send you to Philip Morris if you want growth."

Edwards LifeSciences (NYSE:EW): "I like it. People think it is controversial. This has a good product and good value. I wouldn't be surprised if the stock gets a takeover if it stays here."

SkullCandy (NASDAQ:SKUL): "Just came isn't going to be bought up. They had a change of management. I should have gotten bullish, but I didn't. Maybe the story is better than I thought."

Bearish Calls:

Supervalu (NYSE:SVU): "I don't think it does anything. Not a lot of growth. I don't know if the dividend is safe."

HollyFrontier (NYSE:HFC): "Best of breed, but I still think the refinery business is cut-throat. This stock has had a very big run. Be careful. When the Seaway Pipeline is reversed, you are not going to make a lot of money in that group, and that is going to happen in the next three months."
