In a 13D filing after the close Thursday on Steak n Shake Co. (NYSE: SNS), Sardar Biglari's Lion Fund disclosed a 5.8% stake (1,659,445 shares) in the company and disclosed a recent meeting with the Chairman and management, during which Biglari requested representation on the Board of Directors.

On August 16, 2007, the Lion Fund delivered a letter to the company nominating Sardar Biglari and Philip L. Cooley for election to the Board of Directors at the Issuer's 2008 annual meeting of shareholders.
