Hickey and Walters (Bespoke) submit: Yesterday we highlighted the 4-week change in 3rd quarter earnings estimates by sector. Below we highlight the stocks in the Financial sector that have seen the biggest declines in 3rd quarter earnings estimates along with other key names in the sector.

As shown, Countrywide (CFC) has seen its quarterly estimates slashed by 54% over the past 4 weeks -- the largest cut of any stock in the group. As far as the big brokers are concerned, aside from Bear Stearns (BSC), quarterly estimates have barely come in at all. Are we missing something here or are the analysts?
