Computer-assisted design software maker Mentor Graphics (MENT) Thursday evening reported second quarter results above estimates, at $205 million and profit per share of 15 cents, above an average estimate of $200.2 million and 9 cents.
While the forecast looks a little light for next quarter, with the company projecting profit, excluding some costs, of 10 cents a share on sales of $200 million, compared to analysts’ average estimate of 16 cents a share on sales of $205.3 million, the company’s full year forecast of $860 million in sales and $1.02 is above estimates.
In after-hours trading, shares of Mentor rose nearly 5% to $13.10 after falling fractionally in regular trading.
