Monday's Tokyo Stock Exchange Wrap up, Advantest Top Gainer Again (ATE, TDK, SNE, HIT, NIPNY, TM, HMC, KUB, SANYY, KNBWY, EWJ, MTU)

Tech and CE stocks powered the Tokyo Stock Exchange Nikkei 225 Stock Average to its highest close in more than 5-years, up 200+ points on the day, knocking loudly on the 15,000 point door. Auto stocks had a strong day as well as the yen continued to fall against the dollar, almost hitting Y120/US$1, benefiting the exporters. The excitement today must have been on the news of American consumers out in "droves" for after-Thanksgiving or Black Friday shopping. Advantest (ticker: ATE) was up 9.22%, the second time in three trading days it has led all gainers.
Nikkei 225: +202.65 (+1.37%), closed at 14,986.94, also the intra-day high and the highest close since December 13, 2000, intra-day low of 14,784.29, opened 60 points higher than prior close of 14,784.29
TOPIX: +13.76 (+0.90%), closed at 1,543.43, intra-day high of 1,544.22, intra-day low of 1,530.62, opened 5+ points higher than previous close of 1,529.67
JASDAQ: +0.49 (+0.45%), closed at 109.92, traded in 109 range throughout the day, intra-day high was at closing, intra-day low was 109.62
