After a rocky few months, global equity markets finished the quarter higher based on the S&P 1,200 Global index. During the quarter, the index of 1,200 of the largest companies in the world rose by 2.35%.

In the list below, we highlight the biggest winners and losers during the quarter in terms of their effect on the overall index. In each list, we include each stock's percent change during the quarter (in local currency) as well as the number of points it added or subtracted from the index.

Unlike past quarters, the number of US based companies in the top ten (five) this quarter exceeded the number of US companies in the bottom ten (four).
