The China stock I feel will be the next to double in less than a week follows a familar recipe in going from the OTC Bulletin Board to the American Stock Exchange.
The stock is Advanced Battery Technologies (OTCPK:ABAT). It's a first for me to put a Bulletin Board stock in my Coolcat Explosive Small Cap Growth Stock Report, but this one comes with an asterisk attached as it is headed for a listing on the AMEX Tuesday. The new ticker will be GBT.
The AMEX has listed three new China plays recently, and all have done extremely well, with one, China Direct (AMEX: CDS), a current holding in the Small Investor Portfolio in the newsletter.
China Direct moved from the Bulletin Board to the AMEX Sept. 24 and has more than doubled since then. Then came China Architectural (AMEX: RCH), which listed shares on the AMEX Sept. 28, opened at 4.95 and has since shot up as much as 450% in five sessions. General Steel Holdings (AMEX: GSI) shifted Wednesday from the OTCBB, where it traded as GSHO, and was one of Thursday's top winners with a 62% jump.
Advanced Battery Technologies makes PLI batteries and battery cells using lithium cobalt oxide anodes for use in electric vehicles and electronics products such as cell phones and laptop.
The stock has $0.20 in annual earnings, giving it a PE of about 40. It has about $24 million in annual sales, so it is a real company.
I am also upgrading my sell prices on my China stocks. I left a lot of money on the table by taking profits prematurely on super moves by China Natural Resources (NasdaqCM: CHNR) and China Shenghuo Pharmaceutical Holdings (AMEX: KUN) in the past few days, so I will aim a little higher with my remaining China holdings.
Yes, Virginia, this is a bubble. Let's ride it for all it's worth.
