Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round, 11/13/07: MVL's Marvelous Quarter
Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Click on a stock ticker for more analysis:
Bullish calls:
NYSE (NYX): '… NYX is a European company with an American tail… has been one of my stocks of the year, has been grueling, but it did get back to where I recommended it, two weeks ago, and I think it will keep going back, and I want to own it.'
Brocade Communications (BRCD): 'BRCD deserves to be bought here. Their business is strong!'
AT&T (T): 'AT&T is on sale... Verizon is on sale... and I would rather go with those genuine blue-chip names in what I think is going to be a tough market between here and year-end.'
Verizon (VZ): 'Verizon is on sale.'
ValueClick (VCLK): 'Look, I'm a whipping boy for VCLK... Why? Because I've liked it for three years … One of the reasons why I'm hated is that I still like VCLK, and I still think it'll be purchased... The FTC decision will be eventually rendered and they will be back in the game.'
Ultra Petroleum (UPL): 'I am alone in liking natural gas and oil, so that makes me very, very happy. I want to invite Watley... he's the CEO of UPL. He's doing a MAGNIFICIENT job.'
Apache (APA): 'Those are the companies that believe in oil and natural gas going higher.'
XTO Energy (XTO)
Google (GOOG): 'The one that I like the best is Google at $660... I think GOOG can go up, and go to $750...'
Dolby Laboratories (DLB): 'That was a monster-good quarter. We've been recommending that stock for about 50% …The fundamentals are good.'
Integrys Energy (TEG): 'It's got good growth... I'm not going to fight you on it.'
Consolidated Edison (ED): 'I've been using ED.'
Exelon (EXC)
Marvel Technology (MVL): 'That was a monster quarter. I think the stock goes higher. I was really impressed with that quarter.'
Marshall & Ilsley (MI): 'Oh, that is one of the most conservatively-managed banks. I don't want to own any banks but, if I had to own one, that one would be it.'
First Solar (FSLR): 'I like First Solar. It's actually less dangerous, believe it or not.'
Bearish calls:
Nasdaq Stock Market (NDAQ): 'They've done a good job. And yet, I still don't like it as much as NYSE Euronext. Why? Because, in the end, NDAQ is an American company, and NYX* is a European company with an American tail.'Seeking Alpha publishes a summary of Jim Cramer's stock picks every day including: Mad Money Recap, Lightning Round, Stop Trading and Wall Street Confidential
NeuStar (NSR)
Panera Bread (PNRA): 'No, I can't. Let it lift, and then sell. The raw costs there are prohibitive, even though I like to eat there.'
Yingli Green Energy (YGE): 'Too dangerous. Let's use the lift to go from that stock, okay.'
EMCORE Corp. (EMKR): 'No, no, no. Again, that is way too risky. Let's get conservative here.'
