After reporting disappointing EPS and in-line revenue in Q2, the company said during its conference call that worldwide demand for crops and agricultural products are growing at a stable rate. Investors will look to hear more color on the ethanol and corn prices that may drive the company's outlook. The company also announced 1,200 job cuts in the past quarter and may have more to add on its restructuring goals and cost-saving measures.
Following its last report Archer Daniels' stock was upgraded to Outperform at BMO Capital, citing valuation and a recovery driven in the U.S. More recently, however, the company's estimates was lowered at Credit Suisse due to weak ethanol prices. In morning trading, Archer Daniels stock was down 16c, or 0.51%, to $30.92.
