Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round, 11/14/07: Precious Onyx
Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Wednesday November 14. Click on a stock ticker for more analysis:
Bullish calls:
Herbalife (HLF): 'I like HLF more than USNA. This group does have a stench to it, but HLF stinks less than the others.'
Vodafone (VOD)
Verizon (VZ)
AT&T (T)
Colgate-Palmolive (CL)
PepsiCo (PEP))
Coca-Cola (KO)
Strayer Education (STRA): 'All of the education stocks are hot … but that's a $170 stock, so let me give you more caveats... If you want to buy STRA, you buy 25 shares at $170, and then wait for $150 for another 25.'
ITT Educational Services(ESI)
Annaly Capital Management (NLY): 'NLY goes down everytime the rumor is that the Fed's not going to cut... Everytime the rumor is that the Fed is going to cut, it goes up... I think the Fed has to cut. They don't even know they have to cut... I want to bet with Mike Farrell. He's got a good yield. He's levered to the short interest rates going up... I think NLY is one of the best stocks to own in this particular environment.'
Mettler-Toledo (MTD): ' It's not going to break your heart... It's just going to kind of go up over time and that, my friends, is exactly what we want from a stock, so I'm sticking with it. I think it's terrific...'
Roger Communications (RCI): 'I think Canada's still going good... I like the Loonie (Canadian dollar) too... That is my favorite stock involving media right now.'
Shaw Group (SGR): '… they're looking at a trillion dollars in business... they're looking at nuclear power..'
Foster Wheeler (FWLT)
Onyx Pharmaceuticals (ONXX): ' … for the people who want to have a little bit of speculation, because they've got the kidney cancer, and they've got the liver cancer drugs...'
Genentech (DNA)
Celgene (CELG)
Gamestop(GME)
Bearish calls:
DryShips (DRYS): 'We've got to wait... No, I cannot pull the trigger in this name... This group is heavily for sale... It's momentum-oriented. I've got to wait.'
USANA Health Sciences (USNA): 'Those things are all trading like dogs.'
Starent Networks (STAR): 'I've got enough problems with these communications stocks. I have shrunk.'
Wynn Resorts (WYNN): 'In this market, those stocks are too expensive, and I'm giving you a don't buy, don't buy.'
ISIS Pharmaceuticals (ISIS)
