If you think now is the time to start to pick up bargains in real estate [I don't], then you may want to look at REO's. REO stands for Real Estate Owned, and is the real estate that is foreclosed on by banks, which is then put up for sale.
The following is a list of several banks, and the links to their REO sites:
Bank of America (BAC) BB&T (BBT) Downey Savings (DSL) Fannie Mae (FNM) Freddie Mac (FRE) GMAC (GJM) Sallie Mae (SLM) HSBC (HBC) U.S. Bancorp (USB) Wells Fargo (WFC) Zions Bank (ZION)

Thanks for nice conmendiumk of REO's. I have been looking (on an ad hoc basis) but usually get distracted before I get more than one or two website. So thanks for posting these. Do you know of any other resources where you could get REO's sites? (My guess is that this is an area that has some real upside for growth: foreclosure weblistings. Thanks again and cheers!
You are the smart one who demonstrated his total lack of knowledge about short sales in a recent post. Fella ...you better go back to night school...and apologize to your spouse about your poor paycheck.
Don't be so rude, please. Here are just 11 links. Nothing expressed any opinion on the writer.
To Stockerblog:
After checking USB's REO site, It is confirmed that they don't really release All the REO inventory as those bygones days. For public image? For self protection? All I know is they don't treat the website as an effective marketing tool in their mind.
Say there is only one REO listing in California. Do you believe that? I can give you more than 10 pieces of REO USB has now.
As I know, there is a website that will give you 50% REO lenders' link.
In response to Bret's request: Here's another link with a long and comprehensive list of Bank REOs all over the country:
