OmniVision (OVTI) on Thursday reported better-than-expected results for the fiscal second quarter ended October 31, and guidance for the third quarter that beat the Street.

For the second quarter, the image sensor company had revenue of $232.6 million and non-GAAP EPS of 51 cents; the Street had expected $222.7 million and 43 cents. For the third quarter, OmniVision sees revenue of $220 million to $240 million, and non-GAAP EPS of 41-54 cents a share. The Street had been looking for $219.6 million and 41 cents.

In after-hours trading, OmniVision is up 91 cents, or 4.8%, to $19.80.
