CNBC is apparently reporting that Apple (AAPL) plans to announce a flash-memory based MacBook Pro laptop. (This according to TheFlyOnTheWall.com; I did not hear the report, so I do not have any details.) The idea of Apple offering a computer with a flash-based solid state drive instead of a hard drive has the Street buzzing about what it might mean for the NAND memory chip companies. Ergo, SanDisk (SNDK) is up $1.33 or 3.5% at $39.28; Micron (MU) is up 26 cents or 2.9% at $9.21.
