The S&P 500 was down 1.59% at its low today before bouncing 1.18% from its low to the close. Below is a chart showing which sectors bounced the most off of their lows. Pretty much across the board, the sectors that were down the most also bounced the most, while the sectors down the least bounced the least.

The Energy sector saw the biggest bounce from its low at 1.98%. Consumer Discretionary, which was down the most of any sector at its low today, bounced the second most at 1.64%.

The Financial sector had the weakest bounce of sectors that were down more than 1% at their lows, gaining 0.86% from its low to the close. Utilities, Consumer Staples and Telecom -- all defensives -- saw minor bounces, but they were all down much less than every other sector at their lows.
