If you think that the dollar has dropped substantially against the Euro, check out the chart below, which shows the U. S. Dollar (blue line) versus the Euro, and the British Pound (pink line) versus the Euro. As you can see, from the beginning of 2007, the British Pound has also taken a pretty significant hit.

    Amazing, and to think that Germany is the only engine keeping that plane in the air. I'd hate to see what a euro at 1.55 would do to business confidence in Germany next year.

    The US$ lost about 12 % while the GBP "only" 8% - your graph is somewhat misleading.
