As of noon Monday , 80% of stocks in the Russell 1,000 are trading below their 50-day moving averages. Below we highlight the 20 stocks in the index that are trading the furthest above and below this widely followed technical level.

The usual suspects are trading the furthest below their 50-day's -- PAY, FMD, ETFC, MBI, SLM, RAD, AMD, CC and LCC. Of the few, the proud, the overbought, SPN is trading 28% above its 50-day, followed by MOS, RESP, CTCM, MON, ADM and HES.
