Pitney Bowes (PBI) is expected to report Q4 earnings today with a conference call scheduled for 5:00 pm ET.

Guidance

Analysts are looking for Pitney Bowes to post a Q4 EPS of 69c on revenue of $1.64B. The consensus range is 68c to 71c for EPS, and revenue range of $1.63B to $1.66B, according to First Call.

Pitney Bowes announced on January 29 that Q4 2007 results will include an impairment charge of $170M. Pitney Bowes gave guidance in October. The company expected Q4 EPS of 67c to 71c vs. consensus of 84c, and FY07 EPS of $2.67 to $2.71 vs. consensus of $2.94.

Analyst analysis

Citigroup gave Pitney Bowes a Buy rating, noting they would aggressively buy the stock on any weakness from the Q3 results because they see an upside bias to 2008. In November, Merrill Lynch upgraded Pitney Bowes to Buy from Neutral.
