Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) Tuesday afternoon reported revenue for its fiscal first quarter ended January 31 of $28.5 billion, with non-GAAP EPS of 86 cents. That beat the Street at $27.6 billion and 81 cents.

For the second quarter, the company sees revenue of $27.7 billion to $27.9 billion, with non-GAAP EPS of 83-84 cents. The Street has been looking for $27.4 billion and 82 cents.

For the fiscal year ending October, HP sees revenue of $113.5 billion to $114 billion, with non-GAAP EPS of $3.50-$3.54; that beats the Street at $111.7 billion and $3.36.

Revenue in the quarter was up 13% versus last year, or 8% adjusting for currency.

Revenue was up 8% in the Americas, 15% in EMEA and 22% in Asia Pacific. Adjusted for currency, the gains were 7% in the Americas, 7% EMEA and 16% Asia Pacific. The Personal Systems Group grew 24%; imaging and printing grew 4%. Enterprise storage and servers were up 9%. HP Services revenue was up 11%. HP Software was up 11%. HP Financial Services was up 17%.

In after hours trading, HP is up $2.42, or 5.5%, at $46.37.
