In another sign of the Apple iPod empire's continued domination of its market, Dell announced it will discontinue sales of its three high-end Digital Jukebox players. Dell will continue to sell its flash-based 512MB DJ Ditty ($99).
NPD Group recently reported that the iPod accounted for 69% of all music players sold in the U.S. from January through November 2005. Players from SanDisk, Creative Technology, and Samsung each managed less than 10 percent market share.
Dell is scheduled to report earnings next week, on Feb. 16.
