From Barron’s:

Atheros (ATHR) shares are higher after Bank of America’s Sumit Dhanda reported that the company is now selling WiFi chips into some Research in Motion (RIMM) Blackberry phones. He says Atheros recently won sockets in GSM/GPRS phones, “most likely against Marvell (MRVL).” He says the company already was shipping parts for CDMA Blackberries.

Dhanda also says the company has started shipping components for the Nintendo (NTDOY.PK) DS handheld, “somewhat earlier” than he had expected.

Dhanda repeated his Buy rating and $40 target on the stock.

Atheros today is up $1.27, or 4.8%, at $27.87. Meanwhile, Marvell is off 20 cents, or 1.7%, at $11.85.
