Odd Announcements from AT&T, MF Global

Now here's a question. Which company do you think put out this press release with the headline: "Junk my Car Extends Relationship With AT&T (T) for Voice Solutions"?

Duh, obviously Junk my Car put it out as a way to glom on to the AT&T brand. You see it all the time. Some no-name penny stock will put out a release like "my-E-universe.com makes major buy of ads on leading search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN".

But wait, this is actually an AT&T press release! Yes, AT&T really put out a press release announcing that Junk my Car and it had extended their relationship. Bizarre.

MF Global (NYSE: MF - News), a leading broker of exchange-traded futures and options, announced today that six of the company’s executive officers and board members purchased stock of MF Global today. The stock purchases totaled approximately $3 million.

Beyond listing the names of the six execs, that's the entire thing.
