Bullish calls:

Costco (COST): “This is all about a company that has a higher price-to-earnings multiple. It's a rich stock. That was a great quarter... Now COST is coming down. it's the best retailer in America, and I'd like to buy some down here.”
Jones Apparel (JNY): “JNY reported a remarkably-good quarter. The stock was right here at $13. It then went to $16. It yields 4.0%. It's just an incredibly-well-run company.... I want to buy it!”
Walt Disney (DIS): "It's got some great dot-com stuff, it's got great hotels, it's got a great brand name... I think when you buy a stock like DIS, you've got to take it off your screen I just want you to own it for years and years..."
Steel Dynamics (STLD): “STLD is an excellent stock. It's only a dollar off its high, and I'll be recommending it.”
Bear Stearns (BSC): “Let me say that I think BSC is a good franchise, for somebody that wants to own them...”
Kinross Gold (KGC): ‘But your KGC is darn tootin' good. I'd stick with gold here.”
Agnico-Eagle Mines (AEM): “I want to tell you that I think AEM is my #1 name in the group right now. It could use a pullback.”
Transocean (RIG): “I would own RIG, and hope it gets to $130… I still think that RIG gets the lion's share of the big offshore... They also own GlobalSantaFe.’
United States Steel (X)

Bearish calls:

The Blackstone Group (BX): “ I have had in permanent, permanent Sell Block … Fortress Investment Group and BX. I Why have I not included Steve Schwartzman on that, the CEO of BX? I don't know... Memo to staff... get up his picture... he's going on...”
Baker Hughes (BHI): “You know it's not my favorite in that group... BHI is in the wrong segment... It's got too much United States.”
Amedisys (AMED)
Yahoo! (YHOO): “The money's been made in YHOO. Forget it. Just ring the register.”
