C Class Top Seller at U.S. Based Mercedes Dealers (DAI)
The Mercedes Benz C Class was seen as the top selling model by 61% of U.S. Mercedes Benz dealers. The SLK Roadster and the S Class models were seen as top sellers by 11% of respondents each. The large majority (93%) of respondents reported that there were not extra incentives or discounting on SUV models as a result of high gas prices. 50% of dealers reported that satellite radio was an option that could be gotten as a sweetener on a purchase of a new Mercedes. 50% stated that it was not but that both Sirius (SIRI) and XM (XMSR) could be added to a vehicle as an upgrade option.
3 Series Is Hot Seller for BMW
TickerMine surveyed BMW dealerships nationwide about their bestselling vehicles, promotions or other dealer incentives for trucks, and offers for free satellite radio. The survey revealed that BMW's 3 Series is the brand's best-selling car right now, according to 43% of BMW dealerships surveyed. The 5 Series and the Z4 were the next best-selling cars, both named by 14% of respondents. Dealerships are not currently offering special deals on trucks, but 68% of dealerships are offering free satellite radio, some for limited times, and some in particular models such as the X-series.
Porsche (PSEPF.PK) Cayenne is Best Seller
Our latest polls of Porsche dealerships show that the Porsche Cayenne models are the best-selling vehicle with over half of locations indicating that it is out-selling both the Boxster and the 911 models. Less that 10% of locations said they were offering discounts on the Cayenne while none of the dealers were offering deals on truck models. 56% of dealers were offering free satellite radio.
