Tuesday's US Market Wrap

Nick Perry (Schaeffer's Investment Research) submits: An all-around down day as all of the broad market indices lost roughly one percent with no real variance between the indices. At the sector level we see...


...that bonds, crude, and gold rallied while the rest of the field sold off...gold staged a midday comeback from early selling but couldn't hold above breakeven...biotech was weak from the opening bell and remained the weakest group throughout the session...the COMP and NDX did show some relative strength at the open but that didn't hold...all-in-all, it was a down day...

Even with today's selling, it looks like the broad market indices are mostly holding above the support we discussed yesterday. And that is where I will pick up in the morning...
