Liberty Mutual, Safeco (SAF), Chubb (NYSE:CB), Travelers (NYSE:TRV), Metlife (NYSE:MET), Prudential (NYSE:PRU), Ambac (ABK): While Cramer still likes casualty and property insurers, he wouldn't go near bond insurers like Ambac. He praised the news that Liberty Mutual will buy Safeco, which is a "real insurer." Cramer thinks CB and TRV are "ripe and ready" to rise and he also likes MET and PRU, but would stay away from AIG and Allstate.
Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE:FCX): Cramer said FCX's acquisition of Phelps Dodge is the best deal in years and added FCX is not levered as much to housing as it is commodities, which are surging. Cramer sees more consolidation and earnings success in store for FCX.
