Cramer's Lightning Round - I Don't Know What Netflix Will Do Next (7/23/12)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Monday July 23.

Bullish Calls:

Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE:TMO): "I like this business...the stock has been in the doldrums for a long time. It is time to buy, buy, buy."

CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL): "...I'm going back to CenturyLink, which is by far the best performer and yields 7%."

Neutral Call:

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX): "That is the hardest stock in the world to understand. I don't know what Netflix will do next. I think the subscriptions are good, but the cost side is bad, so it is hard to figure out what it will do."

Bearish Calls:

Frontier Communications (NYSE:FTR): "I don't want you to own that (Cramer perfers CenturyLink)."

Hess (NYSE:HES): "It is just too poorly managed. Thank heaven we got out of that. However, I do like the oils, so don't extrapolate that (not liking Hess) to not liking oils."

Monster Beverage (NASDAQ:MNST): "Everyone has decided that momentum stocks are no longer ownable after what happened to our friends at Chipotle. The business is good, but no one wants to pay the higher multiple. If you want to own MNST, you have to do it with deep in the money calls."
