Microsoft, Yahoo, Yawn.... - Cramer's Stop Trading! (5/2/08)

Microsoft (MSFT), Yahoo (YHOO): Cramer says people have misjudged MSFT CEO Steve Ballmer by thinking he will sweeten the deal “He’s not a friendly man. There’s no reason for him to make a friendly offer.” He said investors who are trying to predict the outcome of this deal are wasting their time, and Cramer would buy what he has been calling “the new tech” (manufacturing stocks) rather than conventional tech stocks.

Agrium (AGU), Potash (POT): Cramer said this company is “one of the greats” and has proven that fertilizer is more than just manure, but can really produce high yields. Cramer likes the fact POT is down, but thinks a Democrat in the White House may reverse the ethanol policy, a move which will abruptly send agriculture stocks in to a decline.
