NYSE Euronext (NYX) is expected to report Q1 earnings before market open on Tuesday, May 6,with a conference call scheduled for 8:00 am ET.

Analysts are looking for EPS of 83c on revenue of $891.34M. The consensus range for EPS is 77c to 90c, while the consensus range for revenue is $840M to $1.14B, according to First Call.

NYSE Euronext reported today that the average daily volume for its European exchanges rose 17% year-over-year in April, to an average of 1.4M transactions per day. Meanwhile, the volume of the company's American exchanges jumped 24% last month.

Analyst Views

However, two firms recently released negative notes about NYSE Euronext. UBS today removed their Short-Term Buy rating from the company, citing the stock's recent performance The firm maintained their Neutral rating on the shares.

Bank of America on April 30 said it was becoming more cautious about the company, due partly to the erosion of its market share and the accelerating pricing war between NYSE and Nasdaq. The firm prefers Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and they have a Neutral rating on NYSE Euronext.
