Blockbuster (BBI) will promote its on-line DVD rental service on Super Bowl Sunday with 30 second commercials on Fox before and after the game.  The ad campaign will run through February 22.  Read about it.

Super Bowl commercials cost $2.4 million.  I don't know exactly how much pre- and post- game commercials cost, but its probably a lot. This is another example of BBI's current strategy of throwing money at every possible solution (inluding buying HLYW), hoping that something will work out.
