Tips For Helping Your Career
When it comes to succeeding in the work world, there are a number of things you should do in your job to further your career as much as possible. Some of these are not so obvious to those first entering the workforce. According to Kiplinger Magazine these are seven career killers to avoid which will help your reputation and career:
While the above may not at first appear to be obvious, adopting any one of those areas can make your work career take a much longer path to success. Certainly some of them will be much easier for you to do than others, but ignoring one or more because it may be difficult will cost you plenty in the long run. Take the time to make sure that you are addressing each of these issues or set up a plan to do so right away so that you don't sabotage your career without even realizing it.

Am I the only one to see that office politics are politics and therefore usually have nothing to do with ethical pursuits? We have enough people involved in politics. That's why people who know nothing about their positions get to the top. Sure, it helps their careers. It just happens to screw everyone else.
May I add my favorite beef: Learn to give a great handshake. Men-this is mandatory, if you shake like Donald Trump, it will leave a terrible first impression. Ladies-You can make your handhake a huge differentatior! Every little bit helps!
