A large-cap company with room for growth might sound like a fool's bet, but in our opinion that view is short-sighted. In fact, large cap companies haven't grown large by chance - they've often grown to their size due to smart management, steady profitability, and a keen understanding of the core value they bring to the market. Today, we focused our antennas on large-cap companies with substantial growth projected into their foreseeable futures. We narrowed our search further to only include companies that are set to grow for the right reason: solid company fundamentals. A great signal for solid fundamentals is to look at a company's average analyst ratings. With this idea in mind, we filtered for large caps that have been given strong votes of confidence by analysts recently, and that hold 'Strong Buy' recommendations. If you're looking for intriguing large-cap growth opportunities, then you'll like the list we came up with today.

Our key search metric today was EPS growth (earnings per share growth). EPS growth illustrates the growth of earnings per share over time. The 1-Year Expected EPS Growth Rate is an annual growth estimate, where the growth projections are made by analysts, the company or other credible sources.

To summarize, we first looked for large cap stocks. We then screened for businesses that analysts rate as "Strong Buy" (mean recommendation < 2). We then screened for businesses with estimated high-growth, with 1-year projected EPS growth above 25%. We did not screen out any sectors.
