China Sky One Receives Four More Product Approvals
China Sky One Medical (CSY) announced SFDA approval for another four new topically applied products: Tobramycin Eye Drops, Compound Zinc Sulfate Eye Drops, Ofloxacin Suppositories and Ofloxacin Gels. China Sky One put the expected market for each product between $2 million and $2.4 million.
China Sky One has become a virtual press release industry, all by itself. Earlier this month, it announced the approval of five new patch products (see story). Then, one week later, China Sky One acquired Peng Lai Jin Chuang Company, bringing along its portfolio of 20 approved products to put under the care of China Sky One (see story). The acquisition cost China Sky One $7.1 million in a combination of cash and stock.
All of this activity has brought CSY’s product count to the following: 53 externally applied products; 102 products total. China Sky One is not resting, however. It says it will have another 34 products awaiting approval from the SFDA by the end of the year.
Here are the most recent approvals:
• Tobramycin Eye Drops -- acute infection on eyelids;
• Compound Zinc Sulfate Eye Drops -- acute and chronic conjunctivitis and trachoma;
• Ofloxacin Suppositories -- bactericidal colpitis; and
• Ofloxacin Gels -- bactericidal injection.
