By most accounts, yesterday's Super Bowl on FOX Sports was formulaic and predictable.  Though the game itself had a few dramatic moments and a close score, the New England Patriots won again as they've done in three of the past four years.

I doubt anyone was surprised.  The advertising was equally predictable with the usual mix of ads from car, beer and soda companies, sprinkled with a few dot-coms and one requisite erectile dysfunction ad.  Ad pundits will spend the next few days rating the winning and losing ads, but as expected, FOX Sports was the biggest winner, selling 30-second spots for $2.4 million each.  Read about the ads here, here,  and here.
