Wait, I Take That Back

While analysts have been lowering their expectations for the Financial Sector all year, during the month of May the degree of their negativity softened considerably.  In the chart below, we show the performance of the Financial sector (blue line) and the trends in analyst EPS revisions (red line). 

While the outlook for the sector improved considerably in May, analysts quickly turned negative again in June.  It almost seems as though analysts, just like the analysts at Moody's, found a bad calculation in their spreadsheets.
