Apple Hires Segway's CTO

Apple (AAPL) has apparently hired away Segway chief technology officer Doug Field as a VP of product design. Field has been working for Dean Kaman since 1996; his Segway bio says that he and his team were “wholly responsible for the development of the Segway Personal Transporter as well as all the research and development of future Segway products.”

I can see it now…the iScooter…

Economics 102.

Signs of a market shift. *PRODUCT* cannot meet overwhelming demand real live customers panicking trying to BUY, BUY, BUY.

Methinks you flunked Elementary Economics.

just another reminder that Apple has A LOT of really smart people...not just the boss! innovation continues at the company with the best, most profitable retail space in the country. this is a business site. and Apple makes $$$... lots and lots of it. and eventually, in the long run, so will it's investors.

There is a lot of talent at Apple, and there is no way that the share price has kept up with the company's potential. Everyone's mindset, if they have one, about Apple reflects Apple's stunning success in the past several years, and it continues to grow.
