About the author: From Bespoke:

Barry Ritholtz over at the Big Picture recently highlighted Bloomberg's Chart of the Day showing that analyst profit forecasts are currently worse than ever.

With that in mind, we pulled up a post we did back in November highlighting the average analyst price targets for the 30 Dow stocks.  After analyzing those price targets and where the stocks are now, it's clear that bear markets are definitely not an analyst's best friend.

The chart would show a more dramatice difference if the PRICE TARGET were compared to the CURRENT PRICE.

the reason for this poor article , if we can call it like that , is free advertising. Absolutely no subtance,no opinions ,no recommendations, anybody and I really mean ANYBODY can do that with of course a purpose in mind, their own interest not our own (the small investors).

If you want to be successful, you have to be able to do it yourself and not rely on so called "experts" like the anal ysts.

What a joke analysts really are. I watched Bear Stearns and Countrywide get sold off cheap, yet analysts still had high target prices, ridiculous and a total waste of time.
My tip is to live as far away from Wall Street as possible and ignor this mob.

to..user138602...free advertising? What's being advertised? A totally non-thinking comment. Blessed is he who has nothing to say and cannot be persuaded to say it.
