Sales Increased this Summer at Pacific Sunwear (PSUN)
Respondents at twenty-three (96%) Pacific Sunwear stores around the country confirmed that sales increased as summer approached. The hottest selling brands were Billabong at four stores (17%), Bullhead (17%) and Hurley (17%), with two stores (8%) reporting Quicksilver as their hottest-selling brand.
Only one store (4%) reported that their hottest selling item was on backorder – all others were in stock.
Sixteen (67%) of the PacSun stores surveyed by Tickermine stated that they had items on clearance sale. The average sales receipt at twelve stores (50%) is $60 - $75. Three stores (12%) reported their average sales receipt as over $100.
Bebe Business Stays Strong (BEBE)
A survey of Bebe, the trendy clothing boutique, found that while just 4% of respondents call July sales "Very Strong", another 86% state sales are "Above Average" (43%) or "Average" (43%). Despite the strong sales, 57% report their store has excess inventory. 61% report an average receipt between $50 and $75.
Low-Rise Jeans, Melanie Tops Best Sellers for Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF)
In a recent Tickermine survey of the popular Abercrombie & Fitch clothing chain, the hottest-selling women's clothing items are the Melanie top (23% of mentions), the Margaret top (16%), and the Emma low-rise boot jean (16%). Asked about the most popular "key look" for women, 16% named the Lexi collection, but 68% reported no clear leader. 84% report they have enough of the most popular items in stock.
