A Quarter of Carl's Jr. (CKE) Stores Say Sales of the $6 Burger Tanked from Last Year

CKE Restaurants, Inc., the company behind Carl's Jr burger chains, was surveyed by Tickermine soon after the company reported its shares had risen after its same-store sales were "encouraging." We asked respondents at 26 locations how the $6 Burger sells this year compared to last, how old their locations were and how much the average family spends.

All 100% of those surveyed said their locations were older than a year. The $6 Burger sells more than last year, so say 48% of those polled. 31% say it sells the same and 24% say its sales dumped from last year. But this item still hails as the best seller according to 50% of respondents. 8% say it is the Monster Breakfast Sandwich and another 8% say it is the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger that sells best. We found that it was a Pizza Bagel frenzy with all 29 locations citing that they sell them. 90% say these are a hit – only 10% say they don't sell well. 59% of those polled said the Pepperoni sells best. 28% raved about the Cheesy, Garlic herb variety and 14% say the Spinach & Mushroom is killer. And this could all have positive bearings on business. 55% say business was up from a month ago, but then 45% said it was flatter so it is really hard to tell.
