Altera (NASDAQ:ALTR) is due out with Q3 results after the bell tonight, and analysts polled by Capital IQ are expecting a profit of $0.46 per share on revenue of $483.2 million.

In the near-term, the stock favors a reversal pattern, cutting back its evening move in next-day trade in five of the last seven quarters.
