Cramer's Lightning Round - Alcoa Is A Growth Company Trapped In An Aluminum Body (12/11/12)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday December 11.

Bullish Calls:

MarkWest Energy (NYSE:MWE): (Cramer was asked if there is cause for concern over MWE's "chronic secondary offerings.") "This is no Kinder Morgan Partners. However, we will be opportunistic when MWE does those deals."

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL): "I want to own Apple, which is its own index."

Syngenta (NYSE:SYT), Monsanto (NYSE:MON): "Those are both good companies. Sometimes I like one more than the other. Right now, I prefer Monsanto a little bit, but they are both good companies. Those are biotech companies that are seed companies."

Yelp (NYSE:YELP): "Hold on to it. Don't sell Yelp."

Bearish Calls:

Alcoa (NYSE:AA): "Alcoa is a growth company trapped in a commodity aluminum body. You are going to have to wait."

Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO): "The best house in a tough neighborhood. I'm saying 'don't buy,' even though I know it is cheap."

Parker Drilling (NYSE:PKD): "We don't need that. PKD has been a laggard. Let it go up and ring the register."

Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS): "It has had such a big move. I understand why people think it is going to sell off. If I'm going to own an Apple play, I will own Apple."

Carrizo Oil & Gas (NASDAQ:CRZO): "I prefer the others (in the sector) to this one."
