The average check at Bahama Breeze, owned by Darden Restaurants, is $20-$40, according to 67%. The most popular item is the Firecracker Shrimp, with 39% of mentions. 56% stated that over 75% of their customers order appetizers.

Tab is Less Than $40 for 71% of Smokey Bones Parties of Two (DRI)

Baby Back Ribs are the most popular menu item at Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, according to 25% of the restaurants surveyed in TickerMine's latest poll. Steaks (21%) and grilled BBQ chicken breast (11%) were also popular with diners at the chain. Forty-three percent of restaurants polled said their customers order appetizers 26-50% of the time; 39% said 51-75% of customers order appetizers. The average check for a party of two is under $30, said 29% of respondents. Forty-three percent said the average is between $31 and $40, and 29% said it's over $40. Eighty-nine percent of locations polled have been in operation for more than one year.

23% of Bob Evans (BOBE) Respondents say the Economy is Hurting Business

Bob Evans, the restaurant chain, was recently profiled. Our researchers asked how long wait times were, how much parties of two spend, what were the busiest shifts, which menu items thrived and what bearing specials had on sales. 41% reported no waits. 32% say customers wait 20-35 minutes while 27% say it is more like 5 to 15 minutes long. 41% say parties of two spend $18 - $25. 32% say it is $26 - $35 and 27% see checks for $40 - $45. Dinner is busiest report 10 people, 45%, 8 people, 36%, say it is lunch and 4 people or 18% say it is breakfast. Ten people or 45% say they have no specials, 12 people, 55%, have some and 45% say these do help generate business. Only 9% report poor results.

The Grilled Chicken Salad and then the Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad were each cited as best-sellers by 14% and 9% mentioned the Country Fried Steak. 82% said these items had been around forever. 18% say they are new. 77% say the economy has no bearing on business. But 23% say customers stay at home more as a result.
