US Airways Group's CEO Hosts Annual Shareholders' Meeting (Transcript)
Interesting conference call, with all the eager talk you'd expect, given recent chatter in the news, about a merger with (buyout of?) AMR. But it's still not clear how an airline with hubs in "DC, Phoenix, Philadelphia and Charlotte" thinks that merging with AA, whose hubs are DFW, JFK, ORD, MIA and LAX, will create what they themselves refer to in the conference call as a "more rational" situation for what is "a network business". How do you keep PHL and JFK? Or PHX and LAX? It just doesn't work.
