Born and raised in the USA, graduated with a degree in Finance then worked at a multi-strategy global hedge fund for about 4 years analyzing stocks all over the world. In 2007 I left the USA and moved to China to study Chinese and start a business. Now, I am the CEO and Co-founder of eFin which provides wall street level research to main street investors via a proprietary algorithm. Our eFin scoe that takes into consideration hundreds of factors to provide the best period of time to make an investment in a stock.
Nevertheless, my experience working at the hedge fund and running my own business has improved vastly my investment making decisions. I believe Warren Buffett said it best “I am a better investor because I am a businessman and a better businessman because I am an investor”. I have had my share of busts and winners and have gotten wise enough to always look at both sides of every investment no matter how negative or optimistic the situation is.

Why the pseudonym Lord Baltimore? He was a famous native american scout in the late 1800's as well as an intense character in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid who relentlessly tracked the two heroes. (A 1970s heavy metal band was similarly inspired by the film character in selecting its name.) I view investing a lot like tracking. It is a process of putting together clues found along a trail to determine the path of the target, which in this case is attractive investments - long or short.

Jason has been working in formal, informal and experiential education settings for over 10 years. His greatest accomplishments have been working with children to develop and implement their leadership skills. A Michigan native, Jason grew up as both a day camper at Camp Trailblazer and overnight camper at Camp Tamarack-Fresh Air Society, where many of his fondest memories and closest friends emanate.
Jason started his career in Richmond, VA at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center of Richmond. At the Center, Jason served as youth and teen director where he directed a summer day camp for 3 summers, managed a youth-led teen movement and coordinated social programs for young adults. During his last year in Richmond, Jason served as JCC Maccabi Games Director; welcoming over 2,000 high school students from 45 cities across the globe to compete in sports and participate in social and cultural programing for one week.
The JCC Maccabi Games in Richmond led Jason to New York City to work for Jewish Community Centers Association of North America (JCCA) as the Host Community Coordinator of the JCC Maccabi Games. He coordinated all services, programs and resources for planning and implementing the event; welcoming 5,000 - 7,000 teens every summer to 3 - 5 host communities in North America.
Most recently, Jason served as Director of READesign at Heart of America Foundation, a non-profit in Washington, D.C. focused on service, community building and volunteerism. Jason's philosophy of education evolved from years of being a teacher and learner. Reflecting on his beliefs regarding teaching and learning, Jason works collaboratively with the 'whole child' to promote positive learning, spark enthusiasm for education, and provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning and intellectual curiosity. Jason believes “today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders” and believes Camp is a wonderful place for this transition to occur.
In his free time, Jason enjoys being outdoors, playing and watching sports, reading, writing, travel and spending time with friends and family. Jason, his wife Melanie and young daughter Pearl, live in the Woodley Park neighborhood in Washington, DC.
