Have to say I missed the call on MEMP cutting, but happy for those of you who held on.

Hopefully, they will not have to cut in April.

Simple solution to this subject. If the author does not own, or not planning to buy the stock(s) he writes about, then do not use the word "Buy" in the title.

Substitute the word "Consider" for "Buy".

What happens this April when the E&P's re-work financing, credit lines etc. is, IMO when we will see the major impact of oil/NG pricing on the E&P's. Those that do not bite the bullet and cut now might well be faced with the prospect of making even bigger cuts or eliminating distributions entirely then.

I owned MEMP for almost two years, selling earlier this week. I am aware that many think it is the only "sound" E&P; however "sound" is rather relative. "Cream of the crap" might be a better term.

Again, we will probably know about the distribution by Monday. If it is not cut that will be great for unit holders.

The way you are hyping MEMP here you must have a boatload of it.

By the way, I am not hoping for anyone to lose money on MEMP - just warning on what could happen.

By the way MCEP just cut from .515 to .125.

Just about all of the E&P MLP's are going to be in a bind when it comes to finances, both from a debt and future borrowing standpoint.

When they re-work things in April is when the problems will become more evident. Note that both VNR and LGCY strongly warned in the last few days that next quarter could see changes to their distributions.

The debt that they have has to be repaid and they will probably need to increase/rework their borrowing base around April as will the rest of the E&P's.
