The Next Step After Taking Profits: Six Stocks For Reinvesting

While a lot of "investors" and certainly traders are gambling to some degree, I believe that there is a big difference between investing in a company (by investing, I mean participating in the long-run growth of the company) and horse-racing. You can do all the research you want on a horse, but, at the end of the day, you are betting on the horse alone (and the jockey I suppose). With stocks, you are betting on management, the employees, the products, etc. All of these things are connected to real people and their activities. Just because there is uncertainty in the long-run path, it is foolish to dismiss it as "gambling".
