Whoa, wait a minute. Forget so-called consumer spending, more than half of which is govt disbursement (Fed, state, local = 40% of GDP). In 1943 at the peak of WWII, with maximum sacrifice, rationing and price controls, US govt spending topped out at 52% of GDP. I doubt there's going to be any way to recover from Obama's first 100 days of "stimulus."
