    California won't default on its "general obligation" state bonds. But most muni funds have a high proportion of non-GO bonds, from counties, cities, and service districts, which do not have the same guarantees. Furthermore, the Governator is proposing to "borrow" funds from some of these entities to cover the current deficit in the state budget.

    Bottom line: I'm guessing we will see MORE risk showing up in CA bonds in coming days or weeks, and therefore a better entry point.
