    Okay, it was a text-messaged (or tweeted?) event. But the transcript is ridiculously difficult to follow. An editor could take a few minutes to make the statements of each participant continuous blocks (or even paragraphs), even when they were interrupted in real time. Frankly, I wouldn't bother trying to read something in this format again unless it had vital information I couldn't get elsewhere.

    Great article. I don't know if all these points are right, but there is plenty of food for thought, and enough points with "stickiness" to convince me to stay away from this asset class.

    Re: "myth #4" -- what we can predict is that the "most productive" land today probably won't be so in 20-40 years. Deltas, like Bangledesh, will be too brackish, displacing millions of subsistence farmers. If I had a 50-80 year horizon, I would want to buy up ice fields in Greenland: worthless now, but maybe the world's best grazing land when the glaciers melt.
