Allen Cinzori, Managing Director at Software Equity Group (http://www.softwareequity.com/), has earned a reputation as a skilled investment banker and savvy dealmaker with an outstanding track record and aprofound understanding of software industry transactions, markets and trends.
After joining our firm in 2001 as an M&A Associate, Allen conceived, designed and authored our Software Industry Equity Reports, now read and relied upon by thousands of software industry entrepreneurs, senior executives, venture capitalists and private equity investors worldwide. Allen sold his first sell-side client seven months after being promoted to Vice President and M&A Lead, and successfully led and consummated some half-dozen transactions in the ensuing 18 months, resulting in his promotion to Sr. Vice President and Principal. Elected as a Managing Director of our firm in November 2007, Allen's most recent successes include the purchase by SEG buy-side client Asure Software (NASDAQ:ASUR) of iEmployee, an industry-leading provider of on-demand / SaaS workforce management solutions; the sale of SEG client VantagePoint Systems (TSX-V:VPG), a Canadian software provider of ERP solutions, to Solarsoft; the sale of our client Computrition, a leading software developer serving healthcare and higher education, to Constellation Software (TSX:CSU); and the sale SEG client Pace Systems Group, a leading developer of software, systems and ecommerce solutions for the printing industry to Electronics for Imaging (Nasdaq:EFII)
Prior to pursuing his MBA and joining SEG, Allen served as a Product Applications Engineer and Product Manufacturing Engineer for Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar company, from 1996-1999. Later he gained Internet experience as Corporate Development Manager of Yride.com, and consulted with Verizon Communications on high bandwidth opportunities in the residential market.
Allen holds an MBA degree with highest honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Cum Laude) from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
