If the past is not indicative of the future then I don't understand why you write about Robert Lapenta's past successes.

I would say the exact opposite. You are too lenient with those who take long positions in low-float stocks and then pump them up with articles full of fluff.

  • Alpha Bank: Arbitrage Trade Between The ADR And The Ordinary Shares [View article]
The divergence wasn't for all the period you mention because those holding the Greek shares got the rights. The divergence was after the rights were sold and cash distributed to ADR holders. For that period there is one conclusion. Clueless people have trading accounts.

What disappointment are you talking about? I was short at an average price of about $0.52 and covered at $0.175. Judging by your two comments on this article it seems like you are an armchair philosopher.

Any short seller worth his salt would have boxed the shares at another account and short only on pops. If someone is still short at $2 just on valuation shouldn't have a trading account. You are supposed to buy break-outs if you are a speculator or certainly not short them if you are a fundamental investor no matter how ridiculous the valuation.

By definition only highly levered names go bankrupt. If you go short a while before they file you make 70%-90% even if they are at $1. Anyway it seems that current stock market participants don't care about the company's dire financial situation.

  • Dissecting The Washington Mutual KKR Deal [View article]
KKR has estimated the value of the NOLs at about $1.1 per share if things go well. That's why the warrants that may be issued have a strike price 1.1$ over the company's book value per share.

The stock price may go anywhere but the value calculated by various market participants just isn't there.
